The
PREMISE of 2forPERU is this:
The
Vision:
To raise $150,000 dollars by means of a Unique Method.
With
God’s blessing we are asking people to give ONLY $2.00
towards this Project.
We do understand that it will take 75,000 people to donate $2.00
but we trust that God will show His wonder working power and
lay it on the people’s heart’s to give perhaps more.
In this process some may want to give $5, $10, $20, $100, or
even $1,000.
But, all we will ask them for is $2.00.
The way this Vision will spread is for our people and all who
would like to participate, to carry with them at all times,
a “post-card” sized card (shown below). Then, as
we come into contact with people through family gatherings,
as we hang out with friends, talk to people at sporting events,
people we meet on vacation, in restaurants, etc. we will simply
ask them if they would care to contribute $2.00 to this Christian
Camp in Tarapoto. There is no time limit on this venture. We
do not want to put God on a timetable.
Should He accomplish it in 5 days, 5 months , or 5 years, that
is entirely up to God.
Our prayer is that many of God’s people will become excited
about this Project and that they will use benevolent hearts
God has given them, to bring this Vision to fruition.
This

In
the province of Tarapoto, Peru live Delwin and Techy (tay-chee)
Fowler.
They are missionaries with Tent-Makers Bible Missions who have
lived among the Peruvian people for years. The Fowlers have
been faithful stewards sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with
the people in Tarapoto.
For many years Delwin and Techy have prayed that God would provide
a piece of land large enough to accommodate a much needed Christian
Camp. The result of this Season of Prayer is that God enabled
the people of Berean Bible Church in Scottsbluff, NE to get
involved. God has allowed the Berean Bible Church to be the
catalyst He will use to begin the process of stepping out in
faith with other churches and hundreds of people to raise the
money needed … to purchase such a property.
2forPERU
NEEDS You ! What is 2forPERU ?
2forPERU is the METHOD by which GOD will supply the MEANS to
fulfill the anticipated goal of a Christian Camp. The METHOD
is based on a Simple Premise: To ASK People and Churches everywhere
if each person would be willing to donate just $2.00 toward
The 2forPERU Project.
The COST of the Camp is Relatively Inexpensive: $150,000.oo
dollars.
We believe because the Premise is so simple that people will
respond abundantly and God will bless this endeavor.
The Math is Equally Simple:
If 150 people or churches gave 1,000 dollars the need would
be met immediately. If 2,000 people give 75 dollars the need
would be met more quickly. If 75,000 people give $2.00 the need
would still be met.

a people apart from ourselves in another land. We believe that
God will GAZE UPON our unselfishness in this endeavor …
and not only bless the people of Peru … but in turn …
bless us … for giving unselfishly out of love for the
lost. With God going before us … and as WE step out in
faith … with your help … by FAITH, we WILL ALL,
be a part of a plan that will have not only earthly rewards
but … Eternal … Lasting … Benefits.

earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in
and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break
in and steal.” Matthew 6:19, 20
The
Dynamics of the 2forPERU idea is this:
It
is so affordable, who would not want to give just $2.00?
The
Vision Expanded:
On a wider spectrum, we will also have DVD’s with a brief
presentation with pictures and narration. We will humbly ask
other churches to play our brief Video, and have the pastors
simply ask their congregations for a Special Offering which
they too can each give only $2.00. We will do the same at Bible
Schools; places of business we are familiar with; or any place
we feel led to ask people if they would like to contribute to
this endeavor.
All funds will be kept here in the States in a protected savings
account until we have reached our goal of $150,000 dollars.
Once our goal is reached we will announce the cessation of the
2forPERU Project via our website. Once announced, any monies
that come in after the goal is reached will also be sent to
Tarapoto, Peru to ensure that all monies raised for Peru went
to Peru.
You may keep track of the progress being made on our Website
so that everyone who is interested can be kept abreast of the
giving process. When we have achieved our goal we will all give
God the glory and perhaps pursue another worthwhile endeavor
using the same premise we did for 2forPERU.
PLEASE
NOTE that any monies donated under the amount of $100 dollars
will not be sent contribution statements unless requested. This
will help us keep the cost of postage down and in turn we will
be able to send more money to Peru. Donations by Debit or Credit
cards will cost BBC anywhere from 2.2-2.9% along with a .30
cent per transaction fee, hence, for example, the actual donation
to Peru will be approx. $1.54 on a $2.00 donation and $15.40
on a $200 dollar donation.
Please
NOTE also that we are extremely grateful for ANY and ALL donations
thus by bypassing postage will be of a great time-benefit to
us, not to mention keeping costs down on postage and envelopes,
etc. Thus, it will financially expedite the benefit to Peru
if we bypass the cost of postage by thanking everyone. As you
can imagine, for example, it would make better sense to send
the whole $2.00 to Peru rather than sending $1.58 due to .42
cent postage on a thank you, not to mention the debit/credit
charges to us.
Please

you because God has filled your heart with compassion as you
unselfishly give your donation(s). Since you have become a part
